ChildofVenus | I’m in a Facebook group for Moon in Aquarius people. And I see where people say we aren’t relationship material. Because we are too detached in romantic relationships. I can say that I do care about people as a whole. |
TrueScorpio | My ex had Moon in Aquarius and there's a detached attachment that was challenging for me. My Sun and Moon are in Scorpio so it wasn't a great fit but not horrible (for the most part. I sensed an observation interest yet the inability to understand how others can, or be able to sit with strong emotions, good or bad.The theme felt like "Move on, what is is and what was was". |
Kannon McAfee | Probably because they're mostly thinking in terms of comventional relationships -- conventional marriage. ------------------ Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert birth chart rectification The birth chart is a starting place not a pre-determiner of fate. |
dragonflies | Who says that Aquarius moons are not relationship material? Just as many people will prefer this aspect over any other, I'd assume. It's just a theory, but there seems to be a misbalance. When you scroll through threads there's plenty of info on various signs, aspects and stuff, but very little to none on others. Aquarius falls into the latter category. At least that is my perception. And remember that Aquarius has their own wave-length. There is nothing like vibing with other Aquarians. But it's not approachable from the outside. I've run into plenty of Aqua moons, mostly Scorpio or Cancer suns. I remember that Cancer-Aqua, who I knew in a matter of a few exchanged sentences. We were personal from the get go. I think he had latched onto something I had said in class (about independence, and it was a statistics class!), sought me out after class and didn't want to let me go. We talked a bit and I said that he cares too much about what other people thought of him. He was a stranger, but I just knew him. It was eerie. And lovely. Why are you worried? Are you worried? Or just curious about perception? |

People with a water Sun and Aquarius moon probably aren't as detached. Due to them having a water Sun sign so it's different. Here is one example of what I mean. This lady talks about how Aquarius Moons aren't relationship material. She did say that our best match is Sag Moon which is my favorite Moon so far. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWK3v89g1G0 Sometimes I worry because at times I really do feel detached. But I do care about people as a whole like feeding the homeless. I really love the idea of doing that. I had the chance of doing so once and it was a great experience for me. I would love to do it more often. I guess I just mean I express my love through helping people like a humanitarian. But it's hard with one on one relationships unless I really feel a connection. Sometimes I feel awkward when a person is emotionally expressive towards me. Like if someone says they love me. It feels awkward or if someone just randomly tries to hug me. It's hard to explain to someone who doesn't have this Moon sign. It could also be that Saturn parallels my Moon. |

Okay, a couple of things. First off, my experience with water suns with Aquarius moon is that they detach just as much as any Aquarian. My ex did that and my friends do that. Second of all, Sagittarius moons are for Sag suns so hands off! Sorry, this is gonna be in bits and pieces. I'm on my phone |
dragonflies | I could not watch that video for more than a second. That's where you get your impressions on Aquarius moon from? Come on! Being detached is not the problem. You seem to think that nobody can understand you. That you're on your own plane and nobody will touch you. And I can guarantee you that's not the case. |

This.

I can't agree with that lady. Aquarius Suns/Moons/Risings (even risings) are one of the best and most committed partners once they find someone who truly vibes the same frequency. It's sometimes hard to find the right person, but that's not exclusive to Aquarians. I have two close friends with Aquarius Moon and both of them are in long-term, stable, supportive and emotionally rich marriages. One of them is both Aquarius Moon and Rising - she would never publicly admit it but she lives for her husband and their marriage. The other one is more vocal about it, but again, the same thing.

My grandfather (Virgo Sun, Aquarius Moon, Rising unknown) lived the prolific life of an eternal bachelor until he met my grandmother (Aquarius Sun, Sagittarius Moon, Gemini Rising). They were happily and sappily married for over 50 years. So, that could be true But, traditionally, Sagittarius Sun/Moon is the best match for Aquarius (fallowed by Gemini, then Virgo. Virgo for some weird karmic reason I can't remember now). I don't have Aquarius Moon, but I'm the Aquarius Sun. Of the worst kind when it comes to intimate relationships - cold, noncommittal, unapproachable, too independent, with the mind that has to go to certain places. I need constant stimulation or I lose interest quickly. I prefer long distance relationships, because I can't stay at one place for too long. Then I met someone who finally asked the right questions. We've been living the life of conjoined twins for the past three years. That being said..

I know this feeling very well. I used to cringe at the slightest expression of tenderness. I've noticed the same thing with my Aqua Moon/Rising friend. She actually goes into panic mode and tries to flee the room (while I actually flee the country). I've been told that it's typical Aquarian thing. I assure you it will pass once you surround yourself with the right people. And the right partner.

Nah Sag Moons are great with Aquarius Moons. Sag Moons really understand our need for freedom. They are definitely compatible with us. I really love them most of the men I like have Sag Moons and or Sag Ascendants. |

It's good to know that it's not just me that get's that feeling. I think you're right about me needing to surround myself with the right kind of people. I feel good and free when I'm with my Virgo friend. He has Moon in Sag and a Sag ascendant being with him is fun and I don't feel awkward. I like Aquarius Suns too my childhood friend is an Aquarius. People with Uranus in aspect to their personal planets. But they need fire in their chart. I like long-distance relationships too I always fall for men who live in different states. But that's the thing eventually you'll have to decide whether or not if you really want to be with that person. Sometimes I get frustrated thinking why do I always fall for men who live in different states. I also have Venus square Uranus too so that adds to it. |
teasel | I'm in a couple of groups for things like Moon in Gemini, and Venus in Gemini. They are a funny lot, I'm glad that I found them. Some do relate to the descriptions, and are drawn to those groups, because they feel understood. Some just have fun with the stereotype memes, and talk about the reality of our placements for the rest of us, have a laugh, help each other out (like me). I don't see why Moon in Aquarius shouldn't be relationship material. |

What's wrong with Venus Uranus square? I'm genuinely curious cause taking into consideration your whole chart it should be complementary (I peeked into it, you're Sag dominant so there's no surprise why you like them).

I'm exactly the same and I have a Cancer moon. I feel totally uncomfortable with open displays of affection, especially if I'm not close to the person. My brother in law - who has an Aqua moon - is the most emotionally expressive person I know and I m uncomfortable with his level of emotional openness. But none of us sisters is good with that and we all have water suns. I think it must be a growing up thing. My brother in law also comes from a family that encouraged emotional expression. We didn't. I think family should be the 4th house. (I have Saturn there so it makes sense). What's in your 4th? What does the ruler of the 4th do? |

Have you checked the declinations in your chart? There could be hard aspects to your Moon. I also have Saturn in the 4th house which is touch. But Uranus is there as well conjunct with Saturn. Your brother could have other placements that make him emotionally expressive. But yes you're right it depends on your upbringing. Pluto makes a hard aspect to my Moon as well. |

I don't think there is anything wrong with having Venus square Uranus. I like having this aspect it makes me different from other people. But sometimes it can make things difficult in regards to romance. I like Sag Suns but I'm more attracted to Sag Moons and Sag risings. |

Ah ok. Makes sense then. Saturn in the 4th can have issues with displays of affection. And I - like you - also have moon square Pluto. Emotional closeness used to mean danger to me in the past so there always has been an element of mistrust when it comes to other people's displays of affection towards me. Because of the emotional abuse I witnessed and suffered myself. People like that tend to keep others at arm's length. I have moon contraparallel Uranus and trine Uranus so that also might play a part. I think your 4th house does explain this trait that you described quite well.

charlie | Personally, I think many people confuse the essence of Aquarius and Uranus! Yes, Uranus IS the ruler of Aquarius but Aquarius is a FIXED sign and might therefore be real slow INTO a new relationship and even slower out of one. Someone with Uranus allover the natal chart is, in my own personal experience, not as fixed and not as reliable.. Also, what is a relationship? Is it lifelong? 1 month? 2 years? 3 weeks?? If it's 3 weeks, surely an Aquarius would be able to last |
Librapurr | A lot of couples are different so maybe, you need to let go of your perceptions how relationships should be. I thought I won’t be able to make relationships work because of much air. I could be detached. But I looked around, how many couples are really “traditional”, lovey-dovey and into each other all the time? Not that much. And it doesn’t mean they don’t care about each other!People with a combination of Fire, Pluto and Uranus kinda work for me. My detachment works well with their intensity so I could somehow disconnect from them before it gets too overwhelming, and they can bring me back to this planet . You just need to find what works for you. |

tgif3 | My significant other is a Cancer Sun and Aquarius Moon. I don't think aquarius moon is as detached as it seems, there's definitely multiple planets that would have to influence that. |
